Dr Hume is a practising medical doctor with a doctoral degree from the University of Oxford in Oncology. His research expertise and clinical knowledge place him at the forefront of cancer medicine and emerging therapeutic developments.
He leads Hume & Barrett's clinical intelligence work in oncology and haematology, providing institutional partners with rigorous, research-backed insight into the developments shaping the future of cancer care.
Dr Barrett brings a rare combination of frontline clinical experience and strategic leadership capability. A practising physician and former paramedic, he holds an MBA and a degree in Entrepreneurship — a background that positions him uniquely at the intersection of medicine, management and innovation.
He has led the commissioning and launch of major clinical services and advises international healthcare institutions on clinical intelligence and strategy.
